Blood Bowl-a-rama #2

It’s time for an update on our local Blood Bowl league, featuring my orc team – the Naughty Grinders.
The bad news
My record for the last two games is a disappointing 0-1-2. While I managed a 2-2 draw against the Tzeentch Titans (in what was probably the most boring BB game ever played), I was then beaten 0-2 by both the Khorne City Chiefs and the Flagellants. The KCC match was a great one, with my boyz finally getting their bearings in the last two turns of the second half and sending three of the Chaos scum into the hospital. The Flagellant match was a learning experience bloody – literally – disaster. While everything looked pretty nice and even up to the first half’s turn 7, it was a massive downward spiral from then onwards. I won’t go into details, but let’s just say that by the 3rd turn of the second half I had 6 players out of the original 11 on the field.
The good news
I’ve got three new players painted, which means I only have three more to go. Also, the defeats haven’t really gotten me down. They’ve both been against our most experienced BB players, and the second one can for the largest part be blamed on rotten dice rolls. I’m looking forward to the second half of our ten-game league. My record for the moment is 1-1-3, which all things considered isn’t that bad, seeing as I’ve never scored a single goal in BB before…
