Thanks for the comment. I really liked the stuff you linked. And I still remember those crows!

My five weeks of teaching practice are finally done today, which means I actually have a chance to sit down at my painting desk. I have a few zombies painted up - my own sculpts for example - and I'm going to work on some Studio Miniatures stuff as well. I feel a bit guilty stockpiling minis when I don't paint them, but maybe this will change in the near future. Probably just means that I'll stop feeling guilty :D

Agree about the Tank size, too. They ought to be a tad larger, but I'll let it slide since the sculpts are nice.

I agree with your review 100%.

The leg eater guy is the weakest in the set, followed by the rising guy. As you say however, they are far from the worst zombies figures ever seen.

The moulding on the leg eaters back in particular is a pain in the arse to remove due to the folds in his clothes. I missed large amounts of it and it has caused me all sorts of problems while painting.

The cosplay zombie and the reporter and cameraman are my favourite figures in the entire set I think. Clean sculpting and loads of character.

The tanks are cool but in addition to the troublesome build on one of them they are, to my mind at least, just a tiny bit smaller than I imagine a Tank. But thats just me being nitpicky, they are cool figures regardless.

While I wouldnt describe ravens as "my thing" my Frothers Raven will find a home with my Crows...

My painted versions of the cosplay zombie and the little girl zombie are visible here if you are interested:

They will be up on my blog soon, along with a few more painted figures from the set.

The set has a great range of characterful zombie related bits and pieces. I am glad that I got a set before they stopped production.

So Mikko, are you going to get any of htese zombie miniatures that you have been stockpiling painted up? I would like to see some more of your stuff :)
